Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about your jar.
How long will my jar last once opened?
Opened jars stay fresh in the refrigerator for 3-6 months. The flavor will continue to develop and become more complex over time. Always use a clean utensil.
Why is my jar bubbling or fizzing?
That means it's alive! Our products are raw and naturally fermented, so they continue to produce CO2. Open carefully over the sink, especially if the lid is bulging. This is a sign of quality, not a defect.
Do I need to refrigerate before opening?
Yes — always keep refrigerated, even before opening. While fermented foods are resilient, cold temperatures slow fermentation and keep the flavor consistent.
Is this pasteurized?
Never. Pasteurization kills the beneficial bacteria that make fermented food so powerful. Every jar is raw and packed with billions of live, naturally occurring probiotics.
How much should I eat per day?
If you're new to fermented foods, start with 1-2 tablespoons daily alongside a meal. Increase gradually as your gut adjusts. Many of our customers eat a forkful with every meal.
How does shipping work?
Every order ships free via 2-day delivery in insulated boxes with ice packs. Your ferments arrive cold and alive — no minimum order required. We ship to all 50 US states.
